Build Stronger Together Leadership and Respecful Workplace Training (4 hours)

This course provides those in a leadership role training on how to identify and address discrimination, harassment, bullying, and hazing. It also addresses how these behaviors create problems with safety, productivity, and legal liability. This course takes a deep dive into real-life cases by providing information about the financial outcomes of litigated harassment and discrimination cases. It also provides information on how to recognize unconscious bias. This course also includes training on how to build a respectful workplace where everyone can work safely and productively. Participants will complete exercises based on real-life scenarios to learn how to use bystander intervention techniques to address negative workplace behaviors.

Train-the-Trainer Session for Build Stronger Together Respectful Workplace Training (4 hours)
(Students must have completed the Leadership and Respectful Workplace Training to be eligible for this session)

This course is designed to show you how to teach the Respectful Workplace Training course to others. This intensive session will give instructors knowledge of the theory underlying the Build Stronger Together program and hands-on practice teaching the material.

About the Instructor:

Lauri Rollings is the CEO of Lauri Rollings and Associates, LLC. She provides consulting services promoting recruiting and retention of women and people of color in the construction industry. Rollings previously served as Execitive Director of the Plumbing Mechanical & Sheet Metal Contractors' Alliance of Milwaukee. Before joining the construction industry, she practiced law for more than a decade and, before that, was a newspaper reporter. Rollings graduated with honors from both Stanford Law School and the University of Wisconsin.
